About Us
The Toy Box celebrates 25 years in historic Danville, Kentucky

The Toy Box was founded in 1980 by Paul and Kay Arnold in the building that formerly contained the Town House Restaurant on historic Main Street in Danville, Kentucky.  Paul and Kay operated a successful deli which soon developed into a catering business.  Over the years they became well known throughout Central Kentucky for fine food and good service.  In the early 1990's they closed the Deli and concentrated on catering.

In 1999, the Arnolds retired and sold Toy Box Catering to Steve and Mimi Arnold Becker, their son-in-law and daughter.  The Beckers and their children, Paul, Katherine and Laura, are continuing the family tradition of offering excellent service, quality food and a personal touch for each and every customer.

2005 brings a milestone anniversary to the Toy Box.  On March 3rd, the Toy Box will be 25 years old.  The years on Main Street have seen many changes in the city of Danville and the Toy Box building.

In 2004 the Beckers realized a need to expand their space to accommodate larger groups and changes in the industry.  After consultation with an architect, it was decided that the connecting wall between the 312 building and the 314 building could be cut through.

Demolition began and shortly it was discovered that the two buildings had once been connected by two brick archways.  Brick restorers were brought in to clean and repair the old bricks and today the buildings are reopened to their original size offering a unique and spacious room for meetings, exhibits and parties.

Visitors stop in frequently to plan functions, see the work in progress and hear a story about the old building.  Come by for a visit, you are welcome.
